What Material Is Good For The Checked Trolley Case?

It is common for travelers who have flown and opted for checked luggage to encounter rough handling of their belongings. The seemingly sturdy trolley case they carried onto the plane can end up ragged or even damaged by the time they disembark. Therefore, when selecting a checked trolley case, it is crucial to choose one made from robust materials that can withstand impact and prevent breakage.

The most sturdy case, despite its less appealing appearance, is actually a soft case made of oxford cloth. Although it doesn't have the same level of aesthetic appeal as a hard case, oxford cloth is incredibly difficult to break and relatively strong. On the other hand, the hard case made of PC material is stronger and more resistant to falling than oxford cloth, but it falls short of the strength offered by the fabric. And while the aluminum-magnesium alloy material is highly impact-resistant, it doesn't hold up as well against falls compared to PC material. So, if you have valuable items that are prone to fall, it's advisable to opt for a high-quality hard case. But if your items aren't particularly valuable, then choosing a case made of oxford cloth is a reasonable option.

Apart from the quality of the trolley case, the accessories also play a crucial role. For instance, it is advisable to opt for aircraft wheels as they offer greater stability and smoothness. Besides, it is better to go for wheels that are embedded within the case to avoid potential damage which can occur if they protrude from the exterior. In terms of zippers, it is highly recommended to choose a double-layer explosion-proof option. This will not only prevent the contents from spilling out, but it will also prevent the zipper from bursting open, particularly during transit.

Will the aircraft checked trolley be broken?

There is no clear-cut answer to whether or not checking in a box for air travel is a good idea. Luck and the quality of the box itself could play a significant role in determining its safety. In most cases, airport personnel tend to throw the boxes around during the consignment process, which might not be gentle. To help mitigate such risks, it is always advisable to opt for a robust and reliable box that can withstand rough handling and transit.
